A logic probe can be really useful for testing digital equipment, especially for debugging microcontroller circuits. It is usually used in fault finding and testing but it can also assist in design work and to find out how digital equipment works. The input sensitivity of this probe can be switched for either TTL or CMOS voltage levels. The circuit is fast and sensitive, and includes a detection circuit for very fast pulses. Both visual response (3 LEDs) and audio (piezo buzzer) response are provided. The probe is powered from the circuit under test (+3V to +15Vdc).
