2720-14 Sine Converter / Pulse Width Modulator

The 2720-14 Sine Converter / Pulse Width Modulator accepts at its input a triangular wave with a peak-to-peak amplitude of 400 to 900 milliVolts and at its outputs produces both a sinusoidal waveform and a pulse with voltage controllable duty factor.

A sine wave is the only "pure" tone and as such is appropriate for a number of musical applications either in simulation or natural instrument voices or as a completely electronic sound.

The effect of changing the width of a pulse is to vary both its harmonic structure and the phase relationships of these harmonics.

As with other processing modules, voltage control allows automatic time varying timbral changes that would be extremely difficult to produce if only manual control was available.
