Hi, new to the forum although I've enjoyed paia products for years.
So I'm on a bit of a vocoder kick right now and I began to wonder if there were any mods that could be done to my paia vocoder to get some even stranger effects.
Looking at some other models (eg some very early examples or the doepfer vocdoer) I noticed some have patch cords that allow you to cross patch the different filters and amps. I imagine they'd allow to shift or reverse the pitch output. Could be a laugh.
Having a look at the paia schematic (could anyone furnish me with a high res copy?) it looks like it'd be very easy to implement this. I've marked the changes in blue.
Before I attempt toe mod, I just wanted to run the idea by some people who kind of have a clue as I'm no electrical engineer. Have I got it right?
And has anyone already given this a go? If so, how well did it work out?

Yes, that looks like it would work. It might sound 'out-of-tune' since the frequencies and harmonics for the cross-connected bands wouldn't necessarily be related. It would certainly be useful for 'high-res' effects-loop processing, with delay for extended or repeating modulation, or, external level controls for more control of the overall balance between the input signals across the spectrum.
This schematic has some edits which should make it easier to see:
