I have the 9771-15, does the 9700k come with a power header and can it be powered off the 9771-15?

The 9700 MIDI2CV8 can be powered using the 9771-15, but it is a bit of overkill unless you plan on adding lots of other modules too.

A MIDI2CV8 is usually powered by a wall-mounted transformer with a 12vac output at 300mA or more.
On-board circuitry converts this to dc supplies for the parts on the board and for other modules when in a system such as the P9700S (transformer is then 1000mA (1A) or more).
A 9771-15 has enough power to power a P9700S, etc.

The 9790 power connector kit listed on the site catalog for adding quick connect/dis-connect cabling to the 9771-15.
A header is not included with the MIDI2CV8 kit; however, there is a spot for adding one using the 9790 from a module in the P9700S or with one purchased along with the 9771-15.

Tanks for the quick reply..I have other modules already being powered off my 977-15, so would like to just power the MIDI2CV8 like the others. I'll get the quick connect kit too. Thanks again for the quick reply...love how helpful Paia is!!
