Trouble-shooting tips and suggestions

8750ts.pdf A good start is to check to see if the decimal in the display lights to indicate the unit is in Program mode and will respond to control panel changes. The front panel controls on the Proteus aren't directly linked to the analog circuits, but through A/D, memory, and then back through D/...

Craig Anderton's EPFM as realized by Bennett Helgerson

This was bunch of projects from "Projects for Musicians" book. I used standoffs snapped in fuse holders to make Positive, negative and ground supply rails connecting all boards. Works great.

Re: upgraded PAiA 1550

In recent years, I'd always recommended Highly Liquid and the boards they show on their site for getting discrete voltages from MIDI Note Numbers, but it seems they are sold out or have stopped with these. Looking elsewhere, just now, there looks to be a possibility here at MIDI Boutique: http://mid...

Re: Multiple 9771-15 power supplies in larger system

Oooh Yeahhh... Looks nice James. The transformers for the 9771-15 power supplies isolate them from the mains outlet ground, so, "ground"/circuit-common must be established at the DC end of a system with multiple supplies. Re: 9747 mixer/splitter for 9700 system audio

Yes, the 9747 is working as a passive mixer in the set-up you describe, combining two or three audio signal sources to one.

Perseid, P9700S

...I absolutely love my 9700. I’m currently doing ambient(-ish) music with a cellist and the paia is an essential part of the lineup. https://soundcloud.com/perseid/marine-observatory-in-space https://soundcloud.com/perseid/thunder-road http://www.paia.com/manuals/docs/PTph/MartinGumucio/Perseid_9ED...

Re: wood cabinet for modules

The PAiA modules do not rely on the metal rails for ground or power so mounting them to wood is acceptable. It's best for a desktop vs traveling set-up as the mounting screws into wood might not be as strong as when in metal.
