Re: Old Crow's "40th Anniversary" Paia Gnome Project

Very cool! I seem to recall articles in Polyphony where you could interface the Gnome to the 4780 sequencer. Which made me wonder if the VCO could track well enough from a keyboard or you really needed to dial in the notes like with the 4780. Regardless this might make a fun desk top sequencer based...

Re: Modulation Depth - need some advice

My preference would be for the depth control to be either an independent attenuator or DC mixer, like in a modular, or on the mod inputs. The reason being is if its on the LFO and you want to use the output on say the PWM and VCF, then you are stuck with the same LFO output on both mod inputs.

Re: Variable resistor settings on PAiA 9700s

If you can't hear a difference then it must be right. It isn't about what looks right, it's what sounds right to your ears. Your ears are more sensitive to hearing error for tuning and tracking then they are for amplitude and timbre. Don't worry about the VCF or VCA settings (if there's no audio ble...

Re: Variable resistor settings on PAiA 9700s

The simplest way to set trimmers by ears is to tweak them until they sound right to you. The "clock" settings are ballpark. If you read deeper into the 4730 manual there is a more precise way to trim the filter. I think it's before the Design Analysis but I don't have it in front of me.

Re: 4700 front panels

I have 2 of the Mixer panels and 3 of the ADSR panels along with several others. Let me know if you are still interested. I believe I can be contacted off-line.

Re: 4700 front panels

I have multiple copies of all the front panels. I updated my 2700/4700 system with new designs. I was going to put them up on eBay next week so your timing is impeccable. Let me look over what I have and put some prices down.

Re: 4780 no trigger signal when synced to external clocl

Hi Patrick, I'm also interested in synching the 4780 to an outside clock. Can you tell me how you did it and were you able to reset a sequence and restart it from the first output?

I envy you and your luck! You can find most, if not all, of the PAiA manuals in the Documentation & Manual Section.

Good luck with your new booty!

Re: Paia 2720 BPF improvements?

re: PAiA LFO problem. I found this in a thread on Muff Wiggler: One quirk I didn't like with the LFO module was its unipolar output, it only swung from ground upwards. I AC coupled the output and it was much more useful. I'm not technical enough to know how to do that but I'm sure someone will chime...
