Re: New Hum From 18v In My 4700 System

Hi David, More of my $0.02 worth of wisdom, painfully gleaned on working through this very issue. You need to get the K60 kit and 18 or maybe a higher powered VR (http://paia.com/proddetail.asp?prod=K60&cat=50) and the 9771-15, with a beefed up transformer. You can downgrade the -15 to "-9" easily e...

Re: New Hum From 18v In My 4700 System

David,

I've been working through this exact same problem. As soon as I have my issues worked through I'll post my results. The basic solution is to replace the 4771 with the 9771 and a
regulated 18V supply.

Re: PAIA modular found

I saw your post on Muff Wiggler...very impressive condition! Over the years the PAiA panels tend to become pitted unless maintained instead of thrown in a box and stored in a garage! To get the VCA pumping, run an audio jack from the VCO into either the 0 or 3dB in on the VCA (the 3dB input is loude...

Re: 4780 Issues

F/U: Finally got around to looking deeper into the LED issue. After I pulled it from an old style wing cabinet it worked fine. Put it back in and step 12 was out again (message?). I tweaked the board some and remounted it and all is well.

Thanks!

Re: 9720 Pitch Issues

Problem solved, Scott! I ended up running a cable from the 9771-15 power supply to the VCO, added headers on all the power I/O for the 3 9700S modules, disconnected the power out from the MIDI8CV and everything is fine, the VCOs track each other over 5 or 6 octaves and it sounds cleaner and more sta...

Thanks, Scott. I'll give it a try this afternoon.

Are you back in town already? I thought you were on vacation!

4780 Issues

Hey Scott, Pretty quiet on the board this month, eh? Let's make some noise, shall we? I picked up a 4780 Sequencer on eBay last week. I temporarily connected the Watt Blocks to the 4780, turned it on, and everything functioned fine. I didn't hook it up to a VCO but confirmed that the voltage swings ...

Re: Synchronization Question

No I have set the MIDI>CV to setup 6 unit. How do you start and stop the MS? With a note on from the sequencer track (Sonar)?

Re: 9720 Pitch Issues

OK, I'll try that and see if it works. Let me know if you come up with another solution. Anyone else report these problems?
