Re: 9710 VCA Hum

Hi Scott, I missed this reply. Thanks for the good wishes! The "new," upgraded power supply, is what is powering my mix of PAiA and Blacet modules and seems very up to the task. Clean power and no noise/hum from any of the modules. For my next frac rack of modules I am thinking about using the Blace...

Re: 9710 VCA Hum

Scott, I did get the ripple reduction module the other day. I have't had a chance to install & test it since getting my brand new knee replacement 2 weeks ago! Would there be an advantage to this type off added filtering to the VCO or VCF? Finally, would there be an advantage to using the rack wing ...

Re: 9710 VCA Hum

Happy Saturday, Scott! I Followed your instructions. Everything seems to be within the range of your specs. I'm not quote sure about IC7 I checked the outputs with the ADSR at 9 and on Output 1 it was .22 - 8.0, pin 8 was -11 to +10 and 14 held at 10.82. R34 measured 5.0 On IC 4 did you mean for pin...

What would be cool new 9700 modules?

Like many of you I await the day when the next generation PAiA 9700 modules are released. The last batch have been of such a high quality and usefulness that I am anxiously anticipating more from PAiA. How about you? What I would love to see would be a 16 step CV sequencer as well as a timing divide...

A thorough reply, as always, Scott! I'll take a look at the measurements and let you know what happens.

Thanks,

Re: 9710 VCA Hum

It really did need some adjustments on both the MOD and CARRIER pots but, sadly, I still have the hum. It isn't a variable pitch. It does sound like it is probably 60 HZ. Again, the L, R and L+R VCAs are clean.

9710 VCA Hum

Heya Scott,

I wanted to see if you have a solution to my 9700 VCA problem. On the "A" output I have a low frequency component to the sound. More of a harsh growl than a hum. The other VCA outs are all clean. I can send you a sample if you need to hear it.

Got any thoughts?

Re: 9791 patch cords

I have to say the patch cords I have purchased from PAiA are much better than any I have made myself. I also use 6' and 10' patch cords made by Hosa Tech. The prices are reasonable and I save time and effort.

It's a true plug-and-play experience!

4700 Power

I'd like to have a centralized power supply and power distribution block for my 2 road cases. The solid wire power buss just doesn't cut it. Does anybody have a solution they have used or any ideas? I currently have a 4700 regulated power supply in each cabinet. I want to keep at least 1 set of bias...
