Clip-on Heat Sink vs. Bolt-on Cooling Fin

Errata for Fatman Manual

Page 2 First paragraph, last sentence should read “Check the parts supplied against the packing list on page 3 of this manual”.

Voltage Regulator Cooling Fin
is now
Heatsink, TO220 – clip-on style

Install clip-on style heatsink on IC19 (7805) before installing on printed circuit board.

Disregard the statement to “attach the aluminum radiator fin … in the illustration” and the illustration to the right. The heatsink for this part is now a clip-on style and was installed on the regulator back on page 10 when you were installing all the regulators.

It is also best to install the combined resistors, R117, so there isn't so much exposed wire that could touch the clip-on heat sink.

Below is a pdf detailing this and the installation of the clip-on heat sink.

Note, there was also an earlier change omitting the fin/heatsink from the IC20 voltage regulator.
