I would like to build a signal generator to fiddle with...you folks have those?
Hay Scott, you guys have some brochures for the Theramax/thermin? I was thinking about taking to a flea market and fiddling around with it and if someone had questinos I could give them some brochures..what do you think? My wife just got done after an hour fooling with it until her armes dropped...
you cud just sene me a PDF file and I could print them out....Terry
This is great news hearing that you, and your wife, are now enjoying playing the Theremax. Yes, I think I do remember you suggesting we use heat-shrink tubing to prevent the shield wire from touching the internal wire or antenna mount. I agree. It would be a good solution to preventing this potential trouble. I have a trick I use when preparing these. I save the bit of black-outer insulation and trim one end at a 45º angle and put this pointed end up over the shield wire that solders to the board, but before that, I slide the cable through my tightly pinched thumb and forefinger to stretch the black outer insulation just enough to cover the clipped-short burr out at the antennae end.
At the left column of our http://www.paia.com home page, you can click on Small Kits and Gear and see another link to Building Block kits, click that and scroll down and you'll see a Function Generator kit with signal waveform outputs.
Here's a direct link for it:
Sorry, but no, we don't have brochures, but I will put a dozen or so of our PAiA Parts ID cards in the mail to you. It has the http://www.paia.com site listed on it and will help those interested, find us.
Thanks for your support!
Sincerely, Scott Lee
