Paia 9700s and Blacet modules

Post by Chris Arps »

I really need some mixing and splitter modules to augment my Paia system.

According to the specs the Blacet modules appear to be compatible.

Can a blacet rack sit on top of the Paia rack or vice versa?

Any there any "Must Have" Blacet modules?

If you were going to add a full Blacet rack to two 9700s racks, what would you get?

Chris,

I believe most Blacet modules have a FracRack version(?) They might even be ALL FracRack(?) IIRC. Generally, FracRack/Paia9700/Blacet utilize 1/8 jacks whereas MOTMfactor use 1/4in jacks.

As far as mixers/splitters: DO U know that PAiA is coming out with a bunch of new 9700 modules?????? INCLUDING a MIXER? I think a "splitter" also, along with a new Balanced Modulator, a new Envelope Follower and a few more modules.

PAIA has been keeping this REALLY on the DL. :-(
Email Scott@paia and maybe he can tell U more.........
Don't buy that Blacet!! GOFER PAiA!! :-)

Thanks for the headsup on new stuff. I will save my money for PAIA as they were my intoduction to electro in the 70's when I was a teenager.

There is definitely a new 9747 quad 1X3 single-space splitter (MULT) module in the 9700 pipeline. Prototypes have been assembled & tested. Not sure when it's going on sale (some front panel issues remain) but it is definitely real. It's also going to used as an I/O board on the very latest 9700 modules.
