FatMan R87??

Post by jmrock7 »

In the assembly and user manual (under the 1st diagram of how to wire the pots) There is mention of fixed resistors R33, R73 and R87.

There are pictures of R33 and R73 but I'm scratching my head on R87...

I can't find it in diagram 5b either...

Maybe I'm not looking hard enough but if someone knows, Please fill me in

Thanks

The 220ohm R87 was eliminated from its parallel connection with the VCA ADSR Sustain control R90.

Thanks for the report on the Fig. 3 rack-panel illustration text still containing a reference to it.

When in place the attack time is optimized, but if the velocity cv amount or ADSR Release controls were not a lower setting, then some sound would leak. A batch of CMOS uControllers (80C31) exaggerated the situation and a 'fix' had been to add a 4700ohm as a pull-up resistor (to +5v) on the o13 port line, but we later opted for the elimination of R87 and stick with a non-CMOS uC.
