4780 sequencer behaving strange when installed

Post by patrickvf »

I got this paia 4700 system sans sequencer some time ago, and I have a 4780 sequencer kicking around in a drawer with some other modules. To keep it short, when I install it in the cabinet, the 1st and last step don't play and the pitch low. I established that nothing shorts between any modules and mounting brackets, and the sequencer plays fine outside the of the cabinet, but reverts to strange when the face plate gets in contact with one of the brackets, regardless which wing I put it in. Did anyone encounter this problem? What could possibly cause this?
